So, I am at work today in a snack bar. This family comes in and the kid that is about 5 or 6 wants candy at 8:30 in the morning. The mother says no so the kid throws himself on the floor and starts screaming. Instead of picking the kid up and whacking him on the but she stands there and tries to reason with him which is holding up the whole line. He kicks and screams some more trying to punch her while he's screaming. Instead of taking him out of the restaraunt and telling him he gets nothing, she rewards him and picksup the candy he wants from the counter and gives it to him. He shuts up immediately grabbing the candy out of her hand. Is this the way our future generations are going to handle problems when they don't get their way??? I'd have tanned the kids butt and taken him outside with nothing. What do you think???
