I used to think it was just me being too old fashioned, but more and more each day I have come to realize that this is not the case. In the current time of "I am entitled", people seem to be losing respect, manners and above all common sense. This lack of common sense stretches from the very young to the very old. There is no particular age bracket that this "lack" falls under. This blog will contain examples of human stupidity, entitlement issues and discussions of people believing they are simply above the rules. Feel free to comment (agree and disagree) with my statements. I have worked in the retail world for 41 years and have seen a definite decline in the behavior of the human being. It seems to get worse and worse every year. Not all people fall into this catagory, but the ones that do stand out. Sometimes, it is with total amazement, that I wonder if these people are actually from this planet. I will be periodically posting events that will have you shaking your head. Sometimes you will say to yourself, "I have been there and seen this happen." Other times, you will not agree. There is a definite difference in thinking, depending on the age group that you fall into. Please, no swearing or insulting the others who post, as everyone has their own opinion.
#1 When I was younger we were taught that a car weighed about 4+ tons(give or take a ton or two). It would squish you in no uncertain terms. You watched out for cars and stayed out of their way. The other day there was a kid (7or 8 years old) sitting in the middle of the road on his bike. I literally had to come to a complete stop in order to avoid hitting him. I opened the window and told him to move. He informed me that his mother told him I had to watch out for him and he'd move when he wanted to. I told him to move again. He told me his mom would sue me if I hit him. He sat there and would not move. I layed on the horn, long and loud. I put the car in park and started to get out. He took off. What do you think you would have done in this situation?
